Clean Door Systems offers door-opening systems that spec into virtually any building. We work closely with architects and builders to ensure that our products fit seamlessly into design plans. Read on to understand the basic operation of a CDS opener.

The system functions similar to an ADA storefront automatic entry system, except that only one actuator is used. A person can enter the restroom and lock the door behind him (privacy function lock). The outside lever will remain locked until either the inside lever is turned or the floor actuator is depressed by foot or wheelchair. Upon actuation, an electric strike releases the latchbolt and the automatic operator opens the door to 90 degrees for a set period of time. The outside lever is unlocked upon the automatic operator’s closer function closing and latching the door. The system can be used with passage, privacy and keyed locking functions. The system is also available without the electric strike for push/pull applications.
